DESCRIPTION:The Advancing Early Career Researchers and Scholars (AECRS) Programme hosted a vibrant two-day gathering on 27–28 November 2025\, bringing together mentors\, mentees\, Programme Advisory Committee members\, institutional Champions\, and strategic partners from across the higher education sector. \nThe Gala Dinner honoured the collective achievements of the AECRS community — from the growth of Thuso Connect to the impact of mentor–mentee relationships — while recognising individuals whose dedication has shaped the programme since inception. The evening celebrated progress\, collaboration and the shared commitment to strengthening South Africa’s research capacity. \nThe following day\, the AECRS Workshop focused on Building on Progress\, Co-creating 2026. DESCRIPTION:Theme: Exploring Preparedness for Postgraduate Studies\nDate: 17-18 March 2025\nVenue: Birchwood Hotel & OR Tambo Conference Centre \nThe Enabling Quality in Postgraduate Education (EQPE) project\, funded by DHET\, and the Community of Practice for Postgraduate Education and Scholarship (CoP PGES)\, an initiative of the Advancing Early Career Researchers and Scholars (AECRS) Programme\, hosted a colloquium on preparedness for postgraduate studies.
