For this two-day affair, representatives from South Africa’s public and private higher education institutions gathered to explore ways to enhance the quality of postgraduate education in the country. Part of the engagements looked into models of supervision and the nurturing of research-rich environments. Furthermore, discussions unpacked burning postgraduate issues and opportunities to collaborate and network.
Delegates from the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET), Universities South Africa (USAf), Council on Higher Education (CHE), the National Research Foundation (NRF) and other national councils joined this colloquium.
Essentially, this event, which took place on 22-23 February 2024 at the Protea Hotel by Marriott at OR Tambo, brought together people committed to the success of postgraduate education.
